- Peptide produced by granulosa cells in growing
follicle.
- Inhibits FSH release and possibly FSH binding to
granulosa cells.
- Prevents further follicular stimulation and allows
only 'one' follicle to be selected in monotocous species.
- Alpha and beta subunits can combine
- Alpha - 1
- Beta - A and beta-B
- Alpha-1 + beta-A or beta - B - inhibits FSH.
- Beta -A + beta-B causes FSH stimulation.
