  • C19 and C13 has CH3
  • C17 has 2 carbon group.
  • Produced in corpus luteum.
  • Stimulate uterine secretions.
  • Stimulates estrogen receptors
  • Inhibits uterine motility.
  • Decrease uterine immunity.
  • Inhibits LH and FSH.
  • Needed to maintain pregnancy.
